??Frost??

This morning when I took Hannah and Jakob to the bus stop the grass and cars were covered in frost!! The temperature was 32 degrees!! It's October!! We love having all of the different seasons here in Georgia but I don't know if I can ever get used to a cold Halloween. This is our 3rd Halloween here and everyone has been COLD. I don't mean a little breezy, I mean the kids need a turtleneck and tights or long john's on under their costumes. Can you say CHILLY!!

Our Pumpkin Porch!

Hannah calls our front porch the pumpkin porch. We have lots of different fake and real pumpkins on it. The Fall is my favorite time of year. I love pumpkins and the different colored leaves. I just love it all!!

More Carving!

Pumpkin Carving!

Monday night we carved our pumpkins. This is one of my favorite things to do with the kids for a holiday. Their personality's really come out in each pumpkin. Alex was so excited this year he did almost his whole pumpkin by himself. I made the big incisions and got the top off but he did everything else. He has also informed me that this will be his last Halloween to dress up! AHHH! I remember when I had to drive all around the state of Louisiana to find this very special red Power Ranger costume. Where has my little boy gone?!! This year Alex is being a nerd, Jakob is being either a zombie baseball player or a monster(we have something for both) and of course my little princess is going to be Ariel as a bride.(It was all explained in the Disney World blog entry)......we hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!!

The Boys 5K!!

This morning Brian and the boys ran a 5K race. It was the boys first 5K(3.3miles). Alex's time was 27 minutes 15 seconds and Jakob's was 27 minutes 14 seconds!! I don't have any pictures of it because Hannah and I were at the show. We are soooo proud of our boys!!

Sunday Dinner!

After the show Hannah and I met the boys at Ms.C and Mr. J's house(Brian's parents), for a BBQ!! They had one of their neighbors over and we all had a nice relaxing evening. Thanks maw maw and paw paw for the good food. Momma appreciates a night off of cooking!

High School Musical On Ice!!

Hannah and I were invited by our wonderful girlfriends, Rona and Gracie Dinsmore to go to High School Musical on Ice on Sunday!! We had a great time. I think the girls were just shocked at what was going on in front of them. Both of the girls are big fans of the movies. They both know all of the songs and dances but they just sat there with their eyes wide open. We all had alot of fun. Thank you Rona for thinking of us, we REALLY appreciated the invite!!

Got Sleep?!

Most weeks for us are pretty crazy. But last week was a doosie!! We had an activity every single night. On Friday Alex had a 8:00 pm baseball game. After the game (we won) we came home we got all the kids bathed and then I went to take a shower, when I came back down 15 minutes later this is how I found my family. Do you think they were just a little sleepy?!!

More Fun at Cagle's!

Cagle's Corn Maize!

Last Saturday after our baseball games we went up to Cagle's Dairy Farm. It is in Hickory Flat, Georgia. About 20 minutes from us. They have a Corn Maize and a Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day. There are two different maizes you can do. The first maize only takes about 15 minutes, the second maize can take up to an hour. So of course we did the second. It took us about 35 minutes. Not to bad for beginners!! There are questions posted through out the maize and you follow the direction that is posted with your answer. If your answer is wrong then you end up going in a big circle. We made a few wrong choices, but we won't talk about who made those choices for us!! We picked our pumpkins and the kids got some fresh Cagle's chocolate milk! It was a good Saturday!!

Alex is up to bat!

Jakob is ready to steal a base!

The boys Baseball season is almost over. Next weekend will be the end of the regular games and then we have playoffs! Basketball practice for Alex has already started, his games will start in 2 weeks. Jakob's indoor Soccer will start in about 3 weeks. Busy, Busy, Busy!!

These are the kids School pictures for this year. Alex is in 6th grade, Jakob is in 3rd grade and Hannah is in Kindergarten!

Where Has The Time Gone!!

When I was putting the kids new school pictures in frames I came across some of their old pictures. All I kept thinking to myself was where has the time gone? In these pictures Alex is 6 and in 1st grade, Jakob is 4 and in Pre K and Hannah was almost two. In this years school pictures Hannah is almost the age that Alex was. My babies are growing!!

Where the race took place was in the middle of no where. But it was beautiful! The lake they swam in was so pretty. The race started at 12:30. The temperature is normally alot cooler and they start the race later so it can warm up. The water was 80 degrees,it is normally 70-72. So needless to say they were hot after.

Sunbelt Triathlon!

My husband never seems to stop amazing me! On Sunday Brian and Jen(His bosses wife) did their 2nd Triathlon. The Sunbelt Cohutta Springs Triathlon. It was in Grandall, Ga. It was a half mile swim,18 mile bike and 4 mile run! In that order. Any one that knows my husband knows he loves to run. He has done a marathon and a few half marathons. The Triathlons are new to us. Brian's not a long distance swimmer and he knows this but he still does these races. I think this swim almost killed HIM!! Half mile doesn't sound long but trust me I saw it ..IT IS! He finished the race with a little longer time than he had hoped but hey like the kids said, you finished it and you didn't drown. (My babies are always looking for the bright side)
Jen on the other hand ROCKED!! She was awesome with her swim. She started 3 minutes after Brian and got in before him (sorry honey, but I've gotta give the girl her props!!)The kids and I have gone to all of his big races and this was the first time we got to see him go from event to event. So that was cool. We cheered them on after they finished each thing! Brian, just in case I haven't told you lately, you are an amazing man, husband and father. I am so proud to be on this journey with you. We love you!!!
