Where'd It Go??

Emily, Melanie and me
The DeFusco's

The Lipani's

me and my hubby!!

I feel like our weekends hours are shorter and shorter. I know since the time change our hours of daylight are shorter. But it seems like I wake up on Friday morning EXCITED for the weekend and then I blink and it Sunday nights bedtime stories...DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL MY PAIN??

This weekend was an action packed emotions festival for me.....

Friday night the kids slept at my in laws (by the way I hate that word). Let's start that over, my kids slept at maw maw and paw paw with no hairs house (that is so much better, and the paw paw with no hair thing is because my kids call both my daddy and Brian's daddy paw paw and Alex at a young age, started saying paw paw with hair and paw paw with no hair, I LOVE IT)

Anyway, the kids were gone for the evening, which Jakob never really makes easy for me. But he made it through and survived (like I told him).

And Brian and I had dinner with 2 of our Louisiana couples, the Lipani's and the DeFusco's.
The Dinsmore's and the Hillman's couldn't make it.

We went to Parish, which is suppose to be a Louisiana inspired restaurant. It was good but not anything I will do again. (Being from Louisiana has apparently made me a food snob, especially if you dare to say the words Cajun, New Orleans or Louisiana in describing your restaurant) The appetizers were WONDERFUL, I think we all agreed on that but the main dishes were missing something. Except for my Crawfish pancake that my Halibut came on, now that right there was a LITTLE SLICE OF HEAVEN!!
We've all been talking about trying new restaurants in this wonderful city will live in, so hopefully we have started something!!

Thanks guys for the wonderful night away. I needed a nice evening of GOOD LAUGHS and GOOD DRINKS, THANK YOU Ms. C and Mr. J for taking care of our babies, so we could have a nice evening away!!

What fun to get out with your man! And what a blessing to have your in-laws(with no hair) so close.

Your sweater is super cute.
