175 of 365 memories...Peachtree Road Race, Johnson style!

On July 4th morning bright and early, Brian and I participated in our 3rd Peachtree Road Race.

To see our first year click here and our 2nd here. My girlfriend Lena was with us the last 2 years we did it. This year we added two of our beautifully delicious offspring to our race posse.

Hannah spent the night with maw maw and paw paw all by herself!!

And the boys got to experience completing a historic race with their parents.

Our game plan was to all start together and then Brian and Jakob to go ahead and Alex and I to TAKE OUR TIME :)

And we did....

We enjoyed all the different and sometimes wacky sights around us. Alex and I walked (at a fast pace) most of the race and had a few really interesting conversations along the way.

8th grade is knocking on my boys door and he is one hormonal EXCITED teenager!

Brian and Jakob finished the race and then waited at the finish line so we could all cross together, have I told you lately how much I adore my husband?!

At the end of the race Alex made a comment about NEXT YEAR.

And without getting to excited I said "NEXT YEAR?"

Alex said "yeah mom NEXT YEAR when we do the race".

6.2 miles with his old, so not cool mom and he still is talking about NEXT YEAR.

Who says the best things in life aren't free?

Or at least the cost of a registration fee.......
