150 of 365 memories...day 3 of our summer break!

the numbing medicine worked like a CHARM!!
my brave girl!!

The first week of summer vacation has come to an end and as uneventful as I thought it was going to be, well all I can say is, MAN WAS I WRONG!!

Brian left for the week for business in New York and I was planning a low key week of fun.

On Tuesday my girlfriend Stacey did not come to visit like we had planned for a month now. She freaked out when she got to the airport. I'm not going down this road again, so lets just say, she gets scared easily and we were ALL very disappointed.

Then on Wednesday we were having a fun day at the subdivision pool when, BAM and I really do mean BAM! Hannah jammed her chin into the side of the pool.
We had to check for neck or jaw damage, because of the impact and a little bit of swelling that happened right after (thank god there was none!) She received 4 stitches in her little chin but was a trooper through the whole 4 hour process.

So I'm praying to the summer Gods that were done with all the craziness for the next 7 weeks and can just enjoy our days in the sun, after my babies stitches are removed of course!

149 of 365 memories...why I love him!

There are many reasons why I love my husband, he is adorable, beautiful eyes, great kisser, but all of that aside, he gets me and all my craziness. He took all the pictures this weekend at the lake and as I was going through them I found this one. He always thinks I'm crazy for taking pictures of the kids feet (I have been doing this since Hannah was a baby), so I guess he thought he would mock me just a little more with his own feet!

my boy that is turning into a man right in front my eyes!

Jakob's track group is getting ready to end the regular season and head into the "real" competition stage. Some kids will continue on and some will not. So the end of the season party was this weekend at the lake close to our house. The kids had a blast.
Sun, water, boats and swimming always equal a great time for the Johnson's!!

147 of 35 memories....roll um!!

I am part of a bunco group with the girls that I work with at the preschool and this month was my turn to host. It happen to fall on the LAST day of school. So after I did all of Jakob's end of the year stuff party, flowers, saying good bye, I rushed home to try and get my house entertain able!! With some help from my wonderful girl next door, it all came together.
GOOD FOOD, GOOD TIMES and I won some money!

146 of 365 memories...cool beans!!

Mrs. Hughes has had both my boys for 4th grade and will hopefully have Hannah
Mrs. Basel has had both my little ones for 1st grade

Anyone that knows me knows that I love traditions. When we moved here I was worried about being able to carry on some of our same traditions here. I quickly realized that "our" traditions were just that "ours" and we had no problem carrying them on in a new state. One thing that I love is the idea of my kids having the same teachers. When we moved here Hannah was 3, Jakob was 6 and in 1st grade and Alex 9 and in 4th grade. This year we came full circle with our teachers. Hannah got Jakob's 1st grade teacher and Jakob got Alex's 4th grade teacher. I LOVE IT!! Not only do I love it because the teachers know us as a family and know what to expect from my kid but my kids feel so comfortable because they have already gotten to know this teacher.
It's amazing that we have been here for almost 4 years!! Time flies when having fun raising your babies!!

my future 8th grader!
my future 5th and 2nd grader!

On the last morning of school I try and make it as big of a deal as the first morning of school. We talk about how much they have grown, how fast the year has gone and how HAPPY we are that the summer is back out to play.
And of course I torture them with PICTURES!!
