I don't know how I didn't get any pictures of Hannah and Gracie!! There's always next time!!
I think from now on when ever I post about the get togethers that we have at Mel and Mike's I'm just going to label them "GOOD TIMES". Because it is a genuine good ole time.
Saturday while we were at Jakob's football game, I got a text message saying the DeFusco's (Mel and Mike, hosts of game night) were ordering the LSU game and whoever wanted to come was welcomed to!!
Our football game was early this week, so we still had time to get some stuff done around the house and then go.
The Lipani's had a wedding to go to and The Hillman's had a sick baby at home. So it was a smaller group (smaller meaning 12 instead of 19) us, The Dinsmore's and DeFusco's.
Mike and I had decided that we wanted a GOOD dinner that night, shrimp fettucine was what we decided. And we did not disappoint!
Everyone on here knows that I LOVE to cook and try new things (I'm almost over my cooking funk, a few of you gave me some really good ideas to help me over my hump of the same ole same ole and our belly's are thanking each and every one of you!)
I do love to produce wonderful meals but Mike has me beat by a long shot! When we were texting about the meal, home boy comes back with I'll make the pasta if the kids cooperate(a 2 year old and an infant!) make as in fresh homemade pasta!!
When we got there he was making it and my kids (Jakob mainly) thought it was the coolest thing ever!!
While I was preparing the shrimp, Jakob got to help make the pasta (he is still talking about it).
That really was one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!
And as usual really good company!!
Thanks guys!!
