Hi honey, how was your day??

Every morning I wake up I try to start it on a good note. This morning was going to be the start of a wonderful day. Friday is ALWAYS a good day to be in a good mood. I got up showered, I even shaved my legs :) you have to have freshly shaven legs when your wearing a cute skirt that last year you didn't fit into (well fit in it but maybe not so cutely) but as you were cleaning out your closet 3 days ago realized that maybe the portion control and exercising REALLY does work.....WHO KNEW!!!

OK smart guy I knew, but I just didn't want to know.

So your thinking Friday, freshly shaven legs, a skirt that fits properly, this is going to be one heck of a day.

BAM did you feel that, that's me smacking myself back to reality....

The short version is (yes I can give that or at least try!)

My baby girl got the Shining Star award today because she is just so WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS and my son Jakob said the pledge of allegiance at his sister's ceremony and my hubby and I BOTH got to be there.

After that, the day went to hell in a hand basket.

It involved being vomited at, not on (which is just as horrible as it sounds, especially when the vomiter is not one of your own kin) at.
Inquiring minds want to know how it is an at?
Picture this..... Ms. Heidi (vomit) I think (vomit) my tummy (vomit) hurts (vomit) (vomit) ( and yes more vomit) as this poor child walks towards me across the room.

READY FOR DINNER?!

My poor sub assistant came in not feeling well and left early because she was about to (vomit).

Throw in 10, 3 and 4 years olds being feed cupcakes for a birthday party and one more hour to kill by myself and BAM no that wasn't my reality check again, that was me ramming my head onto the computer key board :)

I pulled up at my house with every intention to put on my walking clothes, grab my MP3 player and walk the day miles away.
As I got up my stairs and into my bedroom, I realized that I had a bag of pita chips and roasted red pepper hummus in one hand and an Amstel Light in the other. My bath tub had water running in it and my favorite Bath and Body Works bubble bath had already been poured in the tub.
Apparently my subconscious had other plans for me.
And really who am I to argue with the people in my head?

I'm praying I don't get whatever everyone else has and I'm also praying that I can always continue to look for the silver lining on each cloud even in the middle of a mini thunder storm.

So honey, how was your day??

Oh my. Yes, you deserved that snack, soak, and drink. I hope you enjoyed it! My day was hectic as usual but I won't complain after reading about yours. Geesh.
